Return Authorization and Timeframe
To initiate a return, you must first obtain authorization. Returns must be requested within 30 days from the date of your original order. Please note that certain product categories have specific return conditions, as detailed below.
Final Sale Items
OEM Factory Parts: All sales are final on OEM factory parts. This includes components from GM, Holden, and other automotive manufacturers. We encourage you to verify compatibility before purchasing these items, especially when selecting parts for use with your Autometer OBD2 scanner for diagnostic purposes.
Special and Custom Orders: Sales are final on special or custom orders requiring wait times, color applications, or custom fitments. Examples include wheels, wheel spacers, gauges, and custom-fit car covers. This also applies to specialized Autometer gauges or custom configurations.
Electronics Return Policy
For electronics that are not custom-made, we offer a 15-day return policy, excluding warranty claims. This includes standard Autometer OBD2 scanners and related electronic accessories. Please inspect your electronic items immediately upon arrival.
Pricing and Sales
The final price at checkout is the definitive price. We do not offer refunds for price differences if an item goes on sale after your purchase, including Black Friday sales. This policy applies to all products, including Autometer OBD2 tools.
Conditions for Returns and Restocking Fees
Returns due to customer error (e.g., wrong item ordered, change of mind, fitment issues due to vehicle customization, excluding product defects or disclaimer clauses) are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Additionally, a 3% credit card processing fee will be applied if the original payment was made via credit card. If the manufacturer’s restocking fee exceeds 25% for custom items, additional charges may apply.
To be eligible for a refund, returned items must be in factory-sealed, unused, and unopened condition (if applicable). This is especially important for sensitive electronic equipment like Autometer OBD2 scanners to ensure they remain in pristine condition for resale. Items not meeting these conditions (indicated in RED below) will not be refunded and will be considered used. The customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs and must provide a tracking number for the return shipment. We strongly recommend insuring all returns, as damages during return shipping are the shipper’s responsibility, and no credit or replacement will be issued for damaged returns.
Defective or Damaged Items and Replacements
For items defective or damaged upon arrival and requiring replacement, a return label will be issued on a case-by-case basis by Maverick Man Inc. and/or the manufacturer. All items MUST BE RETURNED before a replacement or refund is processed. Customers must file claims for damaged returns with the shipper immediately upon receipt to establish a record of the damage. Please refer to any specific Terms and Conditions associated with your purchase. Maverick Man Inc. is not responsible for initiating the initial claim with the shipping company. Maverick Man Inc. or the Manufacturer will handle subsequent claims related to the damaged part, depending on the product.
Shipping Costs for Exchanges
Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with exchanges or returns due to ordering the wrong item. These costs must be paid before the exchange or replacement is shipped. This includes situations where an incorrect Autometer OBD2 adapter was ordered.
Defective Product Replacements
If a product is deemed defective, a replacement part will be sent after Maverick Man Inc. and/or the Manufacturer confirms the defect. NO REPLACEMENT WILL BE SENT UNTIL THE PRODUCT HAS GONE THROUGH THE FULL RMA PROCESS with Maverick Man Inc. or the Manufacturer. Each manufacturer has its own warranty policy and processing timeframes, which will be considered during the process.
If an item is found to be not defective, or if the damage is due to shipping, production issues outside of Maverick Man Inc.’s or the Manufacturer’s claim policy, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
Packaging Requirements for Returns
Crucially, DO NOT discard the original packaging until you are certain you will not need to return the item. All returns must be shipped back in the original packaging, including the box, wood supports, bubble wrap, cardboard, plastic wrap, and Styrofoam. This is especially important for protecting sensitive electronics like Autometer OBD2 devices during transit.
Refunds Processing
Refund requests not due to product fault, disclaimer clauses (No Refunds or Sold As Is items), change of mind, fitment issues from customization, or wrong item ordered are subject to a 3% surcharge processing fee. A 25% restocking fee will also apply if the product needs to be returned. Refunds must be requested within 30 days of purchase. To receive a refund, the returned item must be factory sealed, unused, and unopened if applicable. This ensures fairness and maintains the quality of our inventory, including Autometer OBD2 products.
