OCA Builders: Crafting Your Custom One-Click Apps for VAG Vehicles

For ULTIMATE VAG plan users with a knack for programming and a desire to personalize their vehicles, the One-Click Apps (OCA) builder is the ultimate platform. This powerful tool allows you to develop your very own One-Click Apps – pre-coded applications that simplify complex vehicle customizations with just a single tap. This guide will walk you through the process of using Oca Builders on both iOS and Android platforms, empowering you to create personalized functionalities for your VAG vehicle.

Setting Up OCA Builder on iOS Devices

To begin building your custom apps on an iOS device, follow these straightforward steps:

First, locate and tap the “Other” section within the OBDeleven app. This is your gateway to accessing advanced settings and functionalities.

Next, within the “Other” menu, identify and select “Settings”. This will lead you to the configuration options necessary for enabling debug data, a crucial step for OCA builder functionality.

In the settings panel, find the “Show debug data” toggle. Initially, it will be in the OFF position.

Activate “Show debug data” by swiping the toggle to the right. The toggle will switch from grey to green, visually confirming that debug data is now enabled. The green color will appear filling the toggle from “0” to “I”, indicating activation.

With debug data enabled, connect your OBDeleven device to your car. Navigate within the OBDeleven app to the specific function you wish to turn into a One-Click App. This could be anything from Long coding to Adaptation settings.

Example Scenario:

Let’s say you own a VW Golf VII and want to create a One-Click App for the “Transport mode” adaptation within the “09 Central electrics” control unit. Access this function as you normally would through the OBDeleven app.

To create a One-Click Application, you will need the Raw/Debug Data from this function. This data contains the essential parameters for coding your app. Here’s what Raw/Debug Data looks like:

Within the Raw/Debug Data, you’ll identify three key pieces of information:

  • Address ID: Represented by the icon of a tag.
  • Address Byte/Bit/Bit Length: Shown as a binary code icon.
  • Address Value: Displayed as a value icon.

Note these values down, as you will need to input them into the OCA builder interface.

Now, navigate to the One-Click Application builder in your web browser. Log in using your existing OBDeleven application account credentials. If you encounter any login issues, you can find assistance HERE.

Once logged in, access the “MY APPS” section. This is where you’ll manage and create your custom One-Click Applications.

To begin creating a new application, click the “Start the application creation” button, typically represented by a plus icon.

Select the specific vehicle for which you are creating the One-Click App. You can choose from your Garage or manually select from a vehicle list.

Proceed to the next step by clicking the “Next” button.

You’ll be prompted to upload a picture for your One-Click Application. Click the upload icon to add a visual identifier to your app.

Next, select a Category for your app – Adjustment, Retrofit, or Workshop. Choose the category that best describes the function of your One-Click App.

The standard language for app descriptions is English. To add descriptions in other languages, use the plus symbol to expand language options. Enter a descriptive Application Name and a detailed Description for your One-Click App. Both NAME and DESCRIPTION fields are mandatory to proceed. Optional fields are marked with specific icons.

Once you have filled in the required details, click the “NEXT” button to move to the coding stage.

Activate “Show values description” by swiping the toggle. This feature allows you to add descriptions for each value within your app.

In the designated field, input the values and descriptions for each possible state of your function (e.g., “ON” and “OFF”). You can add more values using “ADD VALUE” or remove them with the red bin icon.

Select the Control unit where the changes will be applied. In our example, we choose “09 Central Electrics.”

In the command section, you’ll see all available commands. Scroll to find the appropriate command for your function, such as “Adaptation UDS.” Drag the necessary command from the left field to the right field.

Enter the Raw/Debug Data you previously noted into the corresponding fields. Ensure all fields are completed. Once done, the “SAVE” button will turn blue, indicating that your One-Click Application is ready to be saved.

Click “SAVE”. You will receive a notification confirming that your application has been successfully saved.

You can edit your created app using the edit icon or delete it with the delete icon within the OCA builder interface.

Your newly created One-Click App is now ready for use via the OBDeleven iOS or Android app.

To access your custom apps, connect to your vehicle, navigate to the “Apps” section in the OBDeleven app, and open the menu for your One-Click Applications. Select and use your created app.

Setting Up OCA Builder on Android Devices

The process for Android devices is equally intuitive. Here’s how to set up OCA builder on your Android device:

Begin by opening the side menu within the OBDeleven app. This is typically accessed by swiping from the left edge of the screen or tapping a menu icon.

Next, locate and select “Settings” from the side menu options.

Within the Settings menu, you will find the “Raw Data” option. Tap on the toggle next to “Raw Data.”

Change the setting from “Hide” to “Show” by tapping the toggle. This will enable the display of Raw/Debug Data, which is necessary for creating One-Click Apps.

Just like with iOS, connect to your car and navigate to the function you intend to convert into a One-Click App. For example, using the same VW Golf VII “Transport mode” adaptation in “09 Central electrics” example, access this function to gather the Raw/Debug Data.

Identify and note down the Address ID, Address Byte/Bit/Bit Length, and Address Value from the Raw/Debug Data displayed in your OBDeleven app.

Proceed to the One-Click Application builder website and log in using your OBDeleven credentials.

Navigate to “MY APPS” within the dashboard.

Initiate the creation of a new application by clicking the designated button.

Select your vehicle, upload a picture, choose a category, and enter the application name and description, following the same steps as outlined for iOS.

In the coding interface, enable “Show values description,” add values and descriptions, select the control unit (“09 Central Electrics” in our example), and drag the appropriate command (“Adaptation UDS”).

Input the Raw/Debug Data, save your application, and manage it using the edit or delete options, just as you would on iOS.

Your custom One-Click App is now ready to streamline your VAG vehicle modifications, accessible through the “Apps” section of your OBDeleven app on both Android and iOS.

By leveraging OCA Builders, ULTIMATE VAG plan users can unlock a new level of personalization and efficiency, creating tailor-made One-Click Apps to suit their specific vehicle modification needs. Start building your own apps today and experience the power of customized vehicle control!
