Late Renewal Fees: Expired licenses require a late fee in addition to the renewal fee. The TDI sends renewal invoices approximately 90 days before expiration. Ensure timely renewal through the portal to avoid these extra costs associated with TDI licensing.
Continuing Education (CE) Requirements: Meeting CE requirements is mandatory for license renewal. Keep in mind the ethics CE requirement for agents and adjusters has increased to 3 hours for licenses expiring on or after 09/30/2022. Failure to meet CE requirements can result in fines. Utilize Sircon’s State Invoice Payment service to manage any fines.
CE Exemptions and Extensions: Under specific circumstances, such as illness or military service, or for long-term licensees (20+ years, excluding escrow officers), you can request a CE exemption or extension online through the Sircon inquiry page.

License Printing Information: You can print your Texas license at any time after creating a Sircon account. Note that free printing within 30 days of approval is available for licenses applied for or renewed via Sircon.com. Licenses applied for via paper or NIPR may require a fee for printing. Title licensees will receive their licenses by mail.
